Our Mission
We are passionate about addressing climate change and the global transition from Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles to battery powered electric vehicles (EVs).
We want to ensure that the transition to EVs happens in a sustainable way that promotes the principles of the circular economy. There are environmental costs from the mass production of EVs that as yet have not been fully taken into account. Without a vibrant market for recycling and repurposing EV batteries the majority of battery packs will end up in landfill, where hazardous flammable materials are already creating challenges. The great transition to EVs from ICE Vehicles will accelerate this. The International Energy Association (IEA) estimates that by 2030 greater than 100 GWH of Batteries will be retired, a volume equivalent to global production levels in 2020.
Our purpose is to ensure that the transition to electric vehicles are part of the solution and not contributing to the problem of climate change. To achieve this, we believe a dynamic market for 2nd life batteries needs to be developed.
